Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf calls American President George W Bush on September 11, 2001:
Musharraf: Mr President, I would like to express my condolences over this great tragedy. Such a great loss of life, the entire nation of Pakistan mourns with you. I just want to make it clear that the Pakistan Government and the ISI had no involvement or knowledge of this deed of terrorism.
Bush: What are you talking about? What tragedy?
Musharraf: Oh, and what time is it in America now?
Bush: It's 8 in the morning.
Musharraf: Oops, sorry...I will call back in an hour!
