Having spent the entire day at the Delhi zoo, Chotu Ram Reaches the last Pinjra (cage). That of the bandar. He finds this to be a massive cage full of Monkeys, some are swinging from the bars, others are removing lice from each others hair .... some are making faces at the people outside, some are snarling threateningly. A small monkey in the corner, catches his attention. The monkey in question is eating moongphalis (peanuts/groundnuts/monkeynuts). Chotu can't help notice the monkey's unique style. He takes one moongphali out of the paper bag, looks at it, unhusks it, put's it up his arse and promptly eats it, much to the Chotu Ram's amazement! His little cousin devours the whole packet in this unique manner.
The caretaker comes along and Chotu (the visitor) intercepts him and says.....
Chotu Ram: "Bhaisahib, yeh bandar kisi vilaaete nasal ka hai kya" (is this monkey of a foreign species)
Caretaker: "ajee nahin sahib, yeh to desi hai .... yahin Hanuman mandir ke bahar se pakda tha" (he's very much a local lad, got him from outside Hanuman Mandir)
Chotu Ram: "lekin bhaisaab dekho na moongphali kaise khata hai"!!
Caretaker: "ajee sahib kya bataayen, jab yeh chota tah na ... tab kisi bacche ne iske saath mazaak kiya ....isko akhroat (walnuts) ka packet de diya ...... bechara sare akhroat kha to gaya .... par 1 week bohut pain mai tha....... ..... Ab yeh har cheej naap ke khata hai......... (he once ate a bag of walnuts, and had a lot of trouble getting it out, now he measures everything)
