There was this small village in india before partition The christian master was teaching young hindu lads He at one time boasted about the kingthood of the English lords. He narrated an incident to proof his point which goes like this:
Once Queen Victoria was to visit some place and there were some lords waiting to receive when she arrived and was about to step down from the carriage. A lord noticed a puddle of water where she was about to set foot, he immediately took of his coat and placed it on the puddle so that the Queen doesn't have to mess with water.
On hearing this tale a meek chutia-bearing hindu lad raised his skinny hand and said: "Sir in place of the English lord had it been our Bapu Gandhijee, Queen Victoria would have blushed.
