Dear Jaal,
I am writing to you on behalf of the Johns Hopkins University chapter of the Association for India's Development (AID-JHU) - a voluntary non-profit organization committed to promoting sustainable, equitable and just development in India, by working with grassroots organizations and movements in India. AID supports and initiates efforts in various interconnected spheres such as education, livelihood, natural resources, health, women's empowerment and social justice. Till date we have supported a number of developmental projects in diverse areas such as development of alternative technologies for rural self help groups in Maharashtra, livelihood regeneration for earthquake and riot victims in Gujarat, etc. To learn more about our work, please visit AID-JHU at: http://www.aidindia.org/jhu On behalf of AID-JHU, I would like to bring to your attention our web-based year-end fundraiser called "ONE FOR INDIA (OFI) - Making Every One Count".OFI aims at utilizing the power of the web to bring people together for a common cause - holistic development of India. It aims at mobilizing the local Indian community to contribute their money, effort, time, and resources generously towards India'sdevelopment. Our target is to raise $80,000 through this drive that will run from Nov 15, 2003 through January 15, 2004. Please visit the campaign website at http://www.aidindia.org/jhu/ofihome.html and spend a few minutes to learn more about it. I am writing to you at this time to seek your help in publicizing our effort by placing the OFI banner on your web-portal. In return, we would be more than happy to express our good-will by placing your banner on our web-page, which gets at least a 1000 hits per month, mostly from AID-JHU volunteers and people from the local Baltimore community. This would translate in to more traffic on your website, as I am quite sure that many of our visitors would be interested in your magazine. I am attaching the banner for OFI with this mail for you to look. I look forward to hearing from you in this regard. Thanking you,
Anubha

Dear Jaal,
Take a Stand Against the Madness; Stop the RIAA! The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) is on a rampage, launching legal attacks against average Americans from coast to coast.
Rather than working to create a rational, legal means by which its customers can take advantage of file-sharing technology and pay a fair price for the music they love, it has chosen to sue people.
I'm writting you just to let you know about a couple of applications that I fund on download.com. Either one of them will keep your identity, online activities, and personal information safe and fully blocked.
Just go to download.com and do a search under anonymous surfing.
Privacy and security is your right.
Happy downloads!
Good News
Jaal: Keep downloading, but what about average Somalians? Don’t they get to thumb their noses at the RIAA?
