As everyone knows, in the 60 years of India’s Independence, the country has had a sterling run of sporting success. From a handful of Olympic gold medal in hockey, to the 1983 World Cup win, to….er…whatever else there is. But some major accomplishments remain hidden from the public domain. Indian Captain Sets New Standard: Mohammed Azharuddin made India proud by becoming the first ever skipper of the national team to show skills reminiscent of his wristy strokes by handling the demands of six bookies at the same time while leading India to a defeat against the might Zimbabwe squad. 4. Indian World Champ: Pappu Yadav was crowned the first-ever champion of the international mud-slinging competition held in Uganda. Yadav showed ability that his rivals could not match. Yadav said he attributed his success to a lifelong devotion to mudslinging and his strenuous training regimen as an MLA with the Congress party. 5. His other major revelations include the India’s victory in the 2007, 2003 World Cups. He has also foretold that India will win at least 20 gold medals during the 2010 summer Olympics. He dismissed critics who pointed out there were no Olympics in 2010 by describing the unnecessary jibing as “details”.
